Well our little man was 4 weeks old today. The past 4 weeks have been hard with many sleepless night and screaming fits and not just from Markus either. But it has been amazing. Having a baby in the house again is so lovely...tough but lovely. We feel blessed for God in trusting us with this little life, we just pray that we can raise Markus to be a true man of God.

10yrs...
10 Years is a long time, is it not??? Well Mike & I are celebrating 10 years of wedded bliss (well most of the time). It doesn't seem like 10 years ago that I was getting ready to make a rather large step in life. As an excited 18yr old I was thrilled to be moving onto married life, all I'd ever wanted was to be married and have kids. Little did I realise God had plans to move us from couple to parents in just a few short months. Driving home from Inverness on the weekend Mike and I were saying we couldn't have guessed just all the great things that God had planned for us.
10yrs...3 kids....and living in Scotland
Where will God have us in 10yrs time???

The name....
A few people have asked about Markus' name, so i thought I'd post the link to Mike's blog announcement of his birth which will give you the details. From the very beginning we had decided that Mike would name a boy and I'd name a girl. Have a read of Mike's announcement titled "The fruit of my Loins"

Igloo anyone??
Over the past week we have had quite a bit of snow, at first it is great fun. But then it just become annoying, the road turn to slush, pathways get icy, and there is lots of wet cloth hanging around the house from children playing in the snow.
Lexy decided that she would make the most of it and make an igloo. Using a washing up tub she has gathered snow from around the garden, the hours of entertainment have been great as the girls have been on a mid term break. We are still only half way there, the girls are hoping that the snow doesn't melt till they're done building.

Early Birthday
Because Alyssa hasn't been able to share her birthday with my family we decided to celebrate her birthday 2 weeks early with Nana, Auntie Court and Uncle Zi. So Sunday the 8th became her birthday for 2009. We had presents and cake, it such a joy to see her little face light up at the excitement of being 4.
Her favourite gift is a toss up between her new scooter and her "electric" guitar.
